The Pell Grant

The most popular type of grant for education is the “Pell” Grant.  The Pell grant has been around since about 1972.  A Pell grant is much different from a loan because it often does not need to be repaid. As of 2010, the maximum amount for a Pell grant was $5500, although this may not seem like a lot of money it is important to remember that this can be used in conjunction with other assistance. A pell grant is a needs based grant directly aimed at low income undergraduates.  Start this process by filling out the proper applications.

You can’t afford not to go to college!
